Hello, Matt here. I started my pickleball journey back in the summer of 2017 after seeing Justin Mitchell and Michael Chao playing, what looked to be, a form of mini-tennis at the Magna Centre in Newmarket. I was there that day playing badminton, a sport in which I was more familiar and accomplished in, being a former High School champion (Georgian Bay area) and an OFSSA participant. They let me in on the wonderful game of pickleball, the game that I fell in love with from, quite literally, day one. In 2019, I was an active member in running/organizing an outdoor pickleball ladder in Newmarket and have been privileged with meeting many wonderful people along the way.

I am in the process of pursuing a level I coaching certification with the intention of enhancing the pickleball experience for as many people as possible. Hope to see you on the courts.
